In recent months, Dulwich College Shanghai Puxi has been immersed in a vibrant artistic environment. Music, drama, dance and visual arts have offered students opportunities to explore and express their talents, resulting in remarkable performances.
We aim to cultivate each student's potential while providing opportunities to develop skills, creativity and an appreciation for the arts. By encouraging exploration and self-expression, students learn more about themselves, engage with the world around them and grow in diverse ways. The range of performances and projects completed by our students highlights this distinctive approach of a Dulwich education.
TEC Art Exhibition:
GREENEXT Expo – Exploring Sustainability
The GREENEXT Expo at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre explored the connection between innovation, design and environmental responsibility. Dulwich College Shanghai Puxi students contributed their artwork to the exhibition, engaging with wider creative discussions and receiving attention from attendees.
Two of our students stood out for their innovative approach: Jacky L,Year 8 ;Celin C,Year 7
They were awarded the Sustainable Future Creativity Award for pieces that thoughtfully combined artistic expression with environmental and social themes. Their work offered unique perspectives on the future, using visual storytelling to explore sustainability in imaginative ways

Creative Arts Evening

This annual school-wide event brings together music, dance, drama and visual arts, providing students with opportunities to develop and present their work.
Music:
Students from different year groups took the stage as soloists, performing pieces they had been preparing both in lessons and after school. Their performances reflected months of practice and a growing sense of confidence in their musical abilities.
Dance:
Year 4 students presented a lively group dance, moving together with precision and energy. Their performance highlighted not just skill, but also teamwork and enjoyment of the art form.
Visual Arts:
GCSE Photography students shared a major project titled 'Identity'. Using layered images, double exposure, and mixed media, they explored personal perspectives and ideas in visually inventive ways.
Drama:
Year 13 IB Drama students staged an original play asking, 'Could artificial intelligence develop consciousness?' Their work combined ensemble performance and improvisation, blending experimentation with careful attention to themes and ideas.
Winter Concert
The Winter Concert is a long-honoured tradition at Dulwich College Shanghai Puxi, featuring performances from students across all year groups.
From Early Years students beginning their musical journey to Senior School students with advanced skills, each performance reflected months of preparation and dedication to music.

2025 Worldwise Festival of Music
Organised by the EiM International Education Group, the 2025 Worldwise Festival of Music brought together students from 11 of our sister schools all over the world at the Jaguar Shanghai Symphony Hall.
Students from Dulwich College Shanghai Puxi collaborated with international peers during rehearsals and performances, gaining professional experience and building friendships across cultures.

Worldwise Shakespeare Festival
This five-day programme is a cross-school, cross-cultural and interdisciplinary drama exchange, organised with Dulwich College Suzhou and in collaboration with the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC).
Guided by professional actors, students engaged with classical works, experimenting with interpretation and performance to create memorable productions that reflected their understanding of the material.
