Natasha Dennis | Director of Student Services & Child Protection Officer
I am thrilled that Dulwich College Shanghai Puxi has been honoured with the Pastoral Care Award. It is truly a testament to our community's commitment to student wellbeing. We prioritise creating a nurturing environment where every child feels supported. A key aspect of our approach is ensuring students have access to trusted adults, who provide them with supportive relationships, advice and genuine interest. We strategically use data, including tools like STEER and iSAMS, to understand and proactively address student needs, ensuring we can create personalised pathways of support that cater to each student's unique wellbeing requirements.

Pastoral care extends outside of the school gates, and we are grateful that we have a community of parents that support our approach to pastoral care. Recognising that children thrive with support from all stakeholders, we strategically build partnerships within our community, Shanghai and beyond to enhance pastoral care for children and families.

Our focus extends beyond academics, emphasising emotional, social, and personal development. We firmly believe in the power of community and belonging and intentionally create opportunities for students to connect and collaborate through initiatives like residentials and Challenge Week. High quality pastoral care is a community effort, and I am appreciative of the work of our students, staff and parents towards achieving this award. It reflects our dedication to empowering students to thrive in all areas, preparing them to make a positive impact on the wider world.

As a leading international school, we integrate innovative STEM and EdTech into education, guiding students to utilise the technology in an appropriate and moral way, to prepare them for the rapidly evolving, tech-driven world.

Amelia King | Director of Educational Technology and Innovation
I'm so proud of the College for winning the China Schools Award for Science and Technology; this is the third award we have won for our use of technology over the past eighteen months, and is a testament to our pioneering approach.

What makes us different is the way that technology and STEAM skills aren't just standalone elements or single one-off projects. Instead, through SE21 we ensure that effective use of technology is deeply incorporated into every element of our curriculum, from 3D printing in IB art, to laser cutting maps in Year 7 geography, to developing safe use of AI in Year 3 and introducing robotics with Cubetto all the way down in our youngest year groups.

We pride ourselves on bringing the wider community into our technology approach, too, including bringing guest speakers from across the globe to speak to our students, running unique programmes such as renowned haute couture designer Kimi Huang's 3D Future Fashion course, and bringing in teachers from our community partnership schools to ensure we are passing our knowledge on more widely.
