How does an international school open doors to the world?

What if your child could learn Shakespeare from a Royal Shakespeare Company actor? Or design 3D fashion with a renowned haute couture designer?
What if they could collaborate with world-class artists or hear firsthand from women leading the charge in STEM?
These aren’t hypotheticals — they’re realities for our students. We believe every student’s journey is unique, and we’re committed to providing opportunities that ignite their passions, expand their horizons, and prepare them for compelling candidates in the world.
Here’s how we’re making it happen:
Dancing Beyond Borders:
Masterclasses with Auckland University Dance Department

What happens when you mix culture with choreography? When world-class dancers from Auckland University stepped onto our campus, our students from Y1-8 didn’t just learn steps—they experienced the power of cultural storytelling. From street dance to the traditional Māori Kapa Haka, students embraced new styles, collaborated across age groups, and even witnessed a breathtaking performance by professional artists. This wasn’t just a workshop; it was a lesson in confidence, creativity, and global understanding. By connecting students with international artists, we’re helping them see the world through movement—and inspiring them to find their own rhythm.

Shakespeare Comes Alive:
Lessons with the Royal Shakespeare Company

Forget dusty textbooks—our students took on Shakespeare with the guidance of Joseph Arkley from the Royal Shakespeare Company. Through hands-on workshops exploring The Tempest and Hamlet, they discovered the timeless power of Shakespeare’s stories and the confidence that comes with mastering them.

Shining on the Global Stage:
Collaborating with World-renowned Orchestral and Choral Conductors

Picture this: our students performing at the Shanghai Oriental Arts Centre, sharing the stage with Asia’s top young musicians. That’s what happened at the 2025 International Schools Choral Music Society (ISCMS) Festival. With professional conductors leading the way, our musicians took part in a breathtaking Gala Concert featuring world premieres and symphonic masterpieces.
Dulwich Puxi had one of the highest representations among Dulwich schools, with students earning their places through a rigorous audition process - it is very selective. Year 13 student Zachary Y. once again secured the prestigious first oboe chair, triumphing over fierce competition for the second year in a row. This performance was the proof of what passion and practice can achieve.

Fashion Reimagined:
3D Design with A Renowned Haute Couture Designer

Led by Kimi Huang, a renowned haute couture designer who has showcased at Shanghai Fashion Week and collaborated with iconic figures like Zhang Ziyi, Li Qin, Shan Yichun, Zhang Bichen, Wang Bingbing, etc, our 3D fashion design course turned sketches into reality using cutting-edge 3D printing. Students learned that the future of fashion isn’t just wearable—it’s programmable. This was about coding creativity and designing the future.

Empowering All:
Women Leading the Way in STEM

We’re committed to breaking stereotypes and empowering the next generation of innovators. Our “Women Leading Tech” event brought together four remarkable women in STEM, for an inspiring panel discussion.
Professor Marika Taylor | A former PHD student of Stephen Hawking
Professor Lynne Corner | The Director of VOICE and COO of the UK National Innovation Centre for Ageing
Professor. Sue Black OBE FRSA | Famous for saving Bletchley Park, with extensive media and TV appearances
Dr. Fiona McNeil | Reader in Computer Science, University of Edinburgh
From AI ethics to breaking tech’s glass ceiling, their stories left our students inspired to challenge stereotypes and lead with confidence. For our students, it was a chance to see themselves in these role models and realise that no field is out of reach—regardless of gender.

These experiences are transformative. By connecting students with experts, we’re:
- Inspiring Curiosity: Sparking passions that go beyond the curriculum
- Building Confidence: Giving students the tools to excel in their chosen fields
- Fostering Global Citizenship: Preparing them to thrive in an interconnected world
From Ideas to Impact: Connecting to the World
As a top international school, we’re committed to building bridges—between ideas and action, passion and purpose, our students and the world. Whether it’s designing 3D fashion, or performing Shakespeare, our students aren’t just learning, they’re leading.
