Making A Difference Together: DUCKS Fun Run and Halloween Disco

This year’s DUCKS Fun Run took place on Monday, with our Toddler, Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children Making a Difference Together by raising money for a great cause; the Veal Reyoung School in Cambodia, through our partnership with United World Schools. The students took an active part in the process by seeking out sponsorship from their family and other community members.

We are pleased to announce that our DUCKS Fun Run raised over RMB20,000 for the cause; a remarkable result! Doing what our DUCKS do best, they did this whilst having lots of fun and making lasting memories.

Kicking off the morning, we saw ghosts, witches, Super Mario, princesses, cats, skeletons and even gigantic inflatable pumpkins take part in a spooky Wake-Up Shake-Up session.

All excited and ready to participate for charity, children completed a spook-tacular obstacle course created by our wonderful PE department which involved them running, jumping, balancing and battling through inflatable obstacles.

Coming together is always a lot of fun for our children in DUCKS and this was confirmed with much laughter and wide smiles by all. Our amazing teachers who also took part in the obstacle course were full of support and brought their usual energy and enthusiasm to the event.

Later in the day our Primary School students came together for a Halloween Disco in the theatre. Costumes were on full display, and the students jammed out to a greatest-hits of Halloween tunes.

We would like to express our gratitude to all those involved in making both the DUCKS Fun Run and the Halloween Disco such fun and memorable events. Special gratitude goes to all our community and their families for supporting our chosen charity by donating. Together, we have all made a difference.
