Model United Nations Conference: Global Refugee Crisis

DCSPX MUN Conference

Dulwich College Shanghai Puxi students in Years 5 and 6 participated in a Dulwich College International Model United Nations Conference last week hosted at Dulwich College Shanghai Pudong: joining hundreds of students from other Dulwich Colleges. The topic of debate for the conference was how society can address the global refugee crisis.

Throughout the conference, students were required to carefully research the subject and their assigned country's perspective on the issue. They used this research to help them explain how their country is working towards addressing this refugee crisis.

During the formal UN-style debates, students showcased their exceptional oracy skills, using persuasion and negotiation to reach agreements with other delegates. The conference served as a valuable learning experience, emphasising the importance of global citizenship and providing an opportunity for collaboration with students from other Dulwich Colleges. Our students' passion and dedication towards the topic was commendable, and we are incredibly proud of their efforts. Congratulations to all!
