Spooky Smiles and Community Spirit: Halloween at Dulwich Puxi
Halloween returned to Dulwich College Shanghai Puxi. This year our DUCKS transformed the school into a spooky spectacle with their Halloween Parade. Our DUCKS and Junior School students embraced the spooky season with unforgettable displays, dazzling dances, and fantastic costumes.

Parade Power and Indoor Magic!
Our youngest learners were a sight to behold on Friday 31 October! Our Toddlers, Nursery, Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 students stole the show in a spectacular Halloween Parade. Pirates, princesses, and friendly monsters marched proudly, cheered on by an enthusiastic audience of parents and staff. The excitement was palpable, with one young student beaming, 'Look at my pumpkin lantern—it lights up!' while another proudly showed off a costume 'covered in sweets!'
The fun continued in the DUCKS restaurant, magically transformed into a spooky dancehall. To the beat of lively Halloween tunes, our little witches and wizards showed off their best dance moves, with some brave parents even joining in on the fun!
The character choices were as unique as the students themselves, with one explaining, 'I'm dressed as Kuromi because she's my favourite!'

Junior School Spooky Disco
Dancing, Delights, and Giving Back
Our Junior School students arrived in a breathtaking array of creative costumes, turning the venue into a vibrant wonderland of superheroes, storybook characters, and cleverly crafted creatures.
The Spooky Disco was a resounding success, with students dancing the afternoon away to spine-tingling tunes. The energy was infectious, with one dancer exclaiming, 'I really enjoyed dancing here!' The Halloween treats were also a major hit, as one student noted, 'The food with all the Halloween touches really caught my eye—I love it!'
The highlights of the event were our thrilling raffle, featuring sustainable gifts, and the Student Council's 'Cautious Catwalk'. Best of all, the event carried a heart of gold, giving support to the community.
This initiative teaches our children the invaluable lesson of giving back to the wider community, making the fun truly meaningful.
