What Has Been Happening at Dulwich Puxi?

The first two weeks of a new academic year are always all about settling in, breaking the ice, and making sure every student and family feels a true sense of belonging.
What's Been Happening at Dulwich Puxi?
Stepping into Academic Excellence
In both Primary and Senior School, we launched the year with orientation meetings and our Senior School Academic Year Ahead. These gatherings gave families the chance to hear directly from our teaching teams about the learning journey to come.

In Senior School Academic Year Ahead, workshops were introduced to help align students’ academic pathways and personal development with the support of their families, a partnership at the heart of our approach.

Our Year 12 students have achieved an outstanding set of IGCSE results.

Tradition, Spirit, and House Pride
Nothing sparks excitement quite like the start of the House activities. This August, new Primary students experienced the thrill of House Sorting, while our House Captain elections began in earnest. With a touch of Harry Potter magic, new joiners found themselves instantly woven into the fabric of Dulwich Puxi life, supported, welcomed, and ready to cheer on their House.

Experience Holistic Education
We pride ourselves on delivering a rigorous and balanced curriculum that integrates academic success with creative exploration. As an international school, while academic excellence is our foundation, it's the enriching experiences outside the classroom that shape our students into well-rounded individuals.

A Community Reunited
Whether it was at the New Family Orientation or during the lively Welcome Back BBQ and Pool Party, parents, teachers, and students alike enjoyed the chance to reconnect, share stories, and start building memories for the year ahead.

Preparing for International Opportunities
Our Year 9 students are already looking ahead to the Ignite: Switzerland experience, a 12-week residential term in the Swiss Alps designed to develop independence, wellbeing and global perspective.
Starting in August 2025, our LIVE WORLDWISE Campus will offer all students in Years 7 to 9 the chance to take part in carefully designed international experiences, with programme costs sponsored* by the College. From the Swiss Alps to historic schools in the UK, these journeys help our students grow into confident, curious young people, ready for whatever comes next. These sponsored opportunities are a pilot programme only available at Dulwich College Shanghai Puxi.

Starting Strong
As we look back on these first two weeks, one message is clear: at Dulwich Puxi, every member is not just a number, but a name. Every student is known, supported, and valued. With a strong start behind us, we look forward to a year filled with learning, growth, and community spirit.
