Literacy, Public Speaking and Drama at Dulwich College Puxi
This week we celebrated BOOK WEEK at Dulwich College Shanghai Puxi. What is Book week? It is a fully immersive week of LITERACY for all students in the college, from Toddlers through to the Senior School. It is a festive week in the College which celebrates all that books and poetry give us; imagination, inspiration, emotion, escape and excitement. Our school mornings during Book Week started with "Rise and Shine Reading". Our teachers read stories aloud whilst students enjoyed their breakfast. We enjoyed poetry workshops and poetry readings, even poetry competitions. We loved our “drop everything and read moments” where we got to enjoy our favourite books at any random moment. We decorated our classroom doors and dressed up as poetry characters for an amazing assembly presentation finale. Book Week is a favourite week at school for students and teachers alike because we all love to celebrate literacy, public speaking and drama at Dulwich College Puxi.
