Clare Higgins
Nursery Teacher
Clare Higgins joined Dulwich College Shanghai Puxi in August 2017. Clare has a B.Ed Degree from Southampton University, specialising in English and Early Years. She has over twenty years experience teaching across the Early Years, and taught in both the state and the independent sector in the UK. Prior to joining Dulwich, Clare had been a Nursery teacher at Wellington College International Tianjin. For nine years prior to this, Clare taught Nursery pupils at The British International School, Cairo. Clare has written and produced many musical drama performances for Nursery pupils, including a version of Shakespeare's The Tempest. Clare also led workshops for parents on topics including managing behaviour and the importance of play for learning. Clare has four grown up children, and her hobbies and interests include choral singing, playing the piano, literature, drama, poetry, art, walking, swimming and skiing.
