Lisa began teaching EAL (English as an Additional Language) in 2010 in Costa Rica, after earning her B.A. in Spanish and International Relations, and her TESOL Certification. Since then, she has worked in Shanghai, the US, and in the Dominican Republic teaching both English and Spanish as an Additional Language to students from Year 2 to Year 13. Lisa also holds a Masters in Educational Leadership (with a focus in Curriculum Development)
Lisa's experience and exposure to many cultures has been essential in shaping her educational philosophy and she is someone who recognises and appreciates the different beliefs, values and customs of others. In her classes, she encourages learning through instruction and interaction that is led by students' backgrounds and relevant experiences.
