Rohan Amin

Science Teacher, Year 9 Mentor

Rohan has spent the past five years in London. He is the Subject Leader of Biology in his current school. Despite being a Biology Specialist he has a keen interest for all three disciplines, especially Physics, and runs Science Clubs for a range of students. He studied at the University of Bristol where he specialized in Evolution, and has since completed a Masters from UCL.

Rohan undertook four months of vulture conservation at Vulpro in South Africa. He was involved in rehabilitating vultures which had often been poisoned or injured as they flew into electricity pylons. Here he realised the biggest impact to be made with respect to conservation was through education and this is one of the main reasons he became a teacher.
