Dulwich Puxi Students Win Global 'Pioneering Spirit' Award

This week, our Senior School students have enjoyed the same opportunity as their teachers. Senior School students were invited to submit bids to The Pioneering Spirit Awards: An entrepreneurial competition with financial reward for projects that make a positive impact to our campus and/or the wider community. We received five bids which were presented to a panel of College leaders and members of the Board of Trustees. Two bids were put forward for consideration in the Dulwich College International competition.

I am delighted to announce that Jay, Yap and Curtis were successful in their bid to introduce FARM BOT technology in our College eco garden. The boys are the youngest winners from across all the Dulwich International colleges and we are very, very proud of their achievement. There were over 30 bids submitted globally.

This process was valuable in so many ways. It incorporated entrepreneurship, putting together a business plan; collaboration, drawing on the different strengths of the team to plan and present the project; and research, exploring new technology to make our College more sustainable.
