Aiming High Together at Dulwich College Shanghai Puxi

The Dulwich College Shanghai Puxi community Aims High Together. Aiming High can mean many things; from setting an ambitious personal fitness goal, to aspiring towards placement at your target university, or simply putting yourself out there for a competition and trying your best. We encourage all members of our community to Aim High in whatever they do. Recently, we have been taking the opportunity to celebrate examples of the great results our students have achieved by Aiming High.  

Last academic year our students entered a wide variety of tournaments and competitions; both locally and around the world. Below are just a few examples of the impressive results our students achieved through their efforts;

In addition to these impressive feats, last year several of our students won awards and prizes for internal competitions entered.  Let's congratulate the following students on receiving their awards;  

 

9th Dulwich Photo Competition
Grand Prize Winner

A huge congratulations to Angel, Year 6 for winning the Grand Prize in the 9th Dulwich Photo Competition for her photo, Reflections. This is the 2nd year in a row that a member of the Dulwich College Shanghai Puxi community has won the Grand Prize. Angel took home a DJI Air 2 S drone and a certificate of achievement for her efforts.   

1st Place - Human Connection Theme

Amber, mother of Zach in Year 11 won first place for the Human Connection section of the photo competition. We caught up with Amber during the recent Senior School Year Ahead Social and took the opportunity to give her the prize of a pair of Bose Noise Cancelling Earbuds. Congratulations Amber!  

Mustangs Challenges

During the period of remote learning we ran two Mustangs Challenges; Sustainability Champions Challenge and Make a Difference at Home Challenge. In Primary School Assembly we took the opportunity to congratulate our winners and deliver their hard-earned prizes.

This Friday we will be hosting our first ever Primary School Investiture Ceremony, where this year’s Primary School student leaders will be announced and introduced to the community. Roles include; 

• Head Students 
• House Captains 
• Student Council 

In addition, we will celebrate and congratulate those students who last year received Primary School Speech Day awards, including; 

• Earhart Endeavour Award
• Sports Award
• Music Award
• McDouall Award
• Beith Award 

It feels great to celebrate students who have Aimed High, and then Worked Hard to achieve their goals. Together, we challenge each other to soar higher than we ever could alone!
