Adam Delicate has taught at a range of public and private schools in both the UK and China as an English teacher for both first language and second language students. After graduating from university with a degree in Journalism, he completed an advanced TEFL qualification and taught in Shanghai as an Oral English specialist. Adam then returned home to the UK and taught at two high-achieving schools whose students' exam results were top for their area and well-above the national average. Adam then returned to Shanghai and joined HD Shanghai Bilingual School, teaching Cambridge's IGCSE and becoming Student Development Leader there, overseeing behaviour, student well-being and character-development programmes. He is passionate about building a school's culture and creating a holistic education for students. As an English teacher, he enjoys improving student’s English and teaching them skills and knowledge that will allow them to flourish and see their world and languages in a new light. In the small amount of free time he has, Adam likes to watch his favourite football team, Sunderland, lose pretty much every week, travel, read and spend time with his family and rescue dog.
