Dulwich College Shanghai Puxi Launches New Scholarship Programme
Dulwich College Shanghai Puxi is proud to announce the launch of our first ever Scholarship Programme for the 2021-2022 academic year.
Our founding school, Dulwich College in England, has a long tradition of awarding scholarships. Dulwich College Shanghai Puxi is proud to draw on this heritage, providing a unique opportunity for gifted students who excel both academically and in the fields of either sport or creative arts to receive prestigious recognition for their talents.
With a rigorous application and selection process, receiving a Dulwich College Scholarship is a rare honour, and one that will highlight exceptional talent not only academically, but also in the chosen scholarship field. In addition to receiving a reduction in tuition fees, successful candidates will be formally recognised as a Dulwich Scholar, enhancing their academic portfolio when applying for universities.
The College is inviting applications for two scholarships:
- Sports Scholarship
- Creative Arts Scholarship
Creative Arts Scholarship
For the Creative Arts Scholarship, The College is seeking candidates who are able musicians with a strong desire to perform and immerse themselves into the musical life of The College. Above all else, we are seeking candidates who are passionate about music, enthusiastic about performing, and are keen to improve themselves as a musician.
The Creative Arts Scholar should have the ability to play in a variety of genres and ensembles. They may include:
- Orchestral musicians, including saxophone and percussionists.
- Singers, including Classical, Musical Theatre, and Jazz/Pop.
- Jazz/Pop musicians, including drummers.
- Pianists will also be considered, but it is essential that they offer one of the above as a second instrument.
Sports Scholarship
For the Sports Scholarship, The College is seeking candidates who are high level athletes with the strong desire to compete and immerse themselves into the sporting culture of The College and our Mustangs teams. We want to see candidates with a strong desire to achieve, pride and belief in sporting prowess, and above all outstanding sportsmanship and passion for development in sport.
The Sports Scholar should have the ability to compete at a high level in one or more of the following sports/activities:
- Athletics
- Badminton
- Basketball
- Dance
- Football
- Netball
- Swimming
- Volleyball
How will a scholarship benefit my child?
In addition to receiving a reduction in tuition fees, successful candidates will be formally recognised as a Dulwich Scholar, enhancing their academic portfolio when applying for universities.
Scholars will engage in a range of opportunities, experiences and responsibilities that will both deepen their experience in their Scholarship field and allow them to build a strong resume of achievements.
Who is eligible to apply for a scholarship?
Students commencing either Year 10 (IGCSE) or Year 12 (IB Diploma Programme) in the 2021-2022 academic year are welcome to apply.
Applications are open to both currently enrolled and prospective students.
