- Getting into the Swing of SISAC Volleyball
The Shanghai International Schools Activities Conference (SISAC), founded in 2003, is home to Senior School sport for internationals schools here in Shanghai. Attended by many schools across the city, we are delighted to add our name to the competitors list.
In September, our Senior School students participated in their first SISAC competition, and we could see the Mustangs values of Pride, Passion, Desire and Belief on the court. Twenty highly motivated student athletes joined the day, and although it was always going to be a tough first game, we looked forward to the competition and took the game to our hosts.
The girls team were first on court and, playing against the more senior team, our students got into their groove and made some fantastic plays. Led by the vocal and inspiring Senior School captain the team made some great moves, demonstrated good skill and made the opponents work for every point.
When the boys team were on court they impressed with their footwork and communication. Fast serving and great setting created many chances and in a very close game they pushed the hosts to the very last point.
Our visiting fans and supporters were given plenty to cheer about and we left our first SISAC games with a lot of positives as we prepare for our next games in October.
Go Mustangs!
