Happy Thanksgiving from Dulwich Puxi

Happy Thanksgiving to all our American students.

Everyone in our College community enjoyed celebrating this week with a delicious traditional Thanksgiving lunch on Thursday and Year 1’s delightful performance in assembly this morning.

For the past 3 weeks, our two Year 1 classes have joined together to participate in their play about Thanksgiving. The students took a great interest in learning about this American tradition and were able to draw comparisons from their own experiences of gathering together with friends and family while feeling thankful.

The children’s re-enactment of the Thanksgiving story reminded us of the importance of being grateful for what we have.  We are educating our students for an international future so it is important that they have an understanding of different traditions are open to different cultures.  We want them to thrive when they are studying and working overseas.
