- The creation of a masterpiece
Teamwork, and the ability to share creative ideas are fundamental requirements of Dulwich students. The value of learning how to successfully collaborate and negotiate for positive outcomes are skills that go far beyond the classroom and at Dulwich our curriculum encourages the development of these life skills from a young age.
As a small community, we wanted to create a significant piece of artwork which was not only strikingly beautiful, but a work that showed all of our students and families that when we collaborate well, and share ideas effectively, beautiful things can happen.
The result is indeed beautiful and we are so proud of those art students who spent two days in the art room developing concepts, layouts and finally creating the artwork together under the guidance of famous UK author and illustrator, James Mayhew and our Art teacher , Chris Reinhardt. It has been an extremely valuable learning experience which has resulted in a wonderful outcome. Congratulations!
