Amber Zhou
Head of Mandarin
Amber Zhou is the Head of our Mandarin Department. She attended Tianjin Normal University, later receiving a Master's degree in Literature from the East China Normal University and Postgraduate Certificate Education (International / PGCEi) from Nottingham University. Amber is Cambridge IGCSE examiner and an experienced IB teacher. Amber taught in a key Senior School in Shanghai for five years and was responsible for teaching Chinese on the main campus and in the international department. She has also been to the United States, Singapore and Mexico to participate in educational trainings. Amber has worked as a judge in Global Chinese Writing Competitions and she also participates in many volunteer service activities, and is a volunteer of Shanghai International Film Festival. Amber joined Dulwich College Puxi as the Founding Head of mandarin in 2016. Amber's aim is to ensure that her students are proud of their cultural heritage, and she hopes to foster a love of learning the Chinese language, literature and culture.Amber enjoys reading, cooking, planting and film. She enjoys exploring different places in the China.
