Student Leadership Coordinator, Spanish and French Teacher
Stephanie is joining the school as a teacher of French and Spanish. She is delighted to be a new member of the Dulwich community after having worked at her previous school, also in Shanghai, for the last six years, where she worked as Head of Pastoral from 2019. Stephanie earned her 2:1 Bachelor's degree in French and German from the University of Nottingham, having also studied for some time in both Paris and Vienna. Stephanie gained her PGCE teaching certificate from the Institute of Education in 2014, and then worked for two years at a school in east London before moving to Shanghai. Prior to that, she worked in the media industry in London. Stephanie decided to move to Shanghai after visiting China as part of a course for language teachers in 2014, organised by the Institute of Education in partnership with East China Normal University. In 2021 she was asked to present as a guest speaker, in conjunction with the Conseiller des Français de l'étranger and the Shanghai French School on the topic of Co-education and the benefits of cohesive and cooperative collaboration between home and school. Stephanie is currently studying for a Master's degree in Applied Educational Leadership from UCL.
Stephanie is passionate about music and is an enthusiastic violinist and concert-goer. In her spare time, she loves to read, and really enjoys world cinema.
