Dulwich Puxi Hosted Its First ACAMIS Event
What does it mean to ‘Be Part of Something Bigger’?
This is not just a statement—it’s a promise. A promise to connect our students to transformative experiences that shape their futures and inspire them to dream bigger. From academic excellence to extracurricular pursuits, we believe in offering our students opportunities that connect them to genuine international experience and global community.
How does that translate into real impact at Dulwich Puxi?
Quoted by Matt Uffindall, Director of Sport,
'At Dulwich Puxi, we always talk about understanding that we are part of something bigger, whether it be our EiM family or FOBISIA, ACAMIS aligns us with the very best international schools across China.'
Consider our sports programme for the Term 1 of 2024-2025 academic year:
This year, that vision has been realised as we proudly hosted our first-ever ACAMIS (Association of China and Mongolia International Schools) sports event. The question wasn’t just, “How will we perform?”—it was, “How will we grow through the experience.

For three days, our campus was alive with energy as student athletes from international schools across China competed, collaborated, and celebrated the spirit of friendship. Hosting ACAMIS was a milestone for Dulwich Puxi, but what did it mean for our students.

Matt Uffindall, Director of Sport said,
' Participating in ACAMIS sporting events offers student athletes numerous advantages beyond just competition on the field. These experiences help them hone essential soft skills such as teamwork, leadership, and communication, which are highly valued by colleges and universities. Engaging in diverse athletic activities fosters a sense of discipline and time management, as students balance their sports commitments with academic responsibilities. Additionally, involvement in such events demonstrates a well-rounded character and a commitment to personal growth, making their college applications stand out. Overall, these competitions not only enhance athletic abilities but also equip student athletes with vital life skills that are crucial for success in higher education and beyond. '

It was an amazing experience where we pushed our limits, showcasing resilience, grit, and determination. Over three days and seven intense games, we grew as athletes and as a team, proving our strength on and off the court, capped off by a clinical performance in the third-place playoff that solidified our place on the podium.'
