Parents: Please Share Your Career Advice With Our Students!

This year Dulwich College Puxi has launched a programme called 101 Mentors. We are inviting Dulwich Puxi parents to bring their professional knowledge and insights into our classrooms, to help our students connect their learning with professional life experience.

We are looking for parents who are willing to talk and share with students about their career experience linked to specific class learning. This can be in person or via video conference call. The time commitment will be around 30 minutes of your time.

For example only:
Are you an architect, a builder, or an interior designer?
Year 1 might need your help this year!
Year 1 students will learn about architecture and building when they design and create a new house for a book character. We will be looking for a parent or member of the Dulwich Puxi community who, together with the teacher’s support, can talk with Year 1 students for 30 minutes (in English or in Chinese) to share the basics of architecture, building and design to help them, get a richer / deeper understanding of what it takes to design and build a house.

This approach will make our classroom learning link with real life and make it more vivid and memorable for students. We will be amplifying this learning approach in every topic this year throughout the Primary School, from Year 1 to Year 5.
